Ringtone

“Ringtone” a.k.a “Tone” whose birth name is Jarrell Daniel Fenton is an uprising dancehall artist from the volcanic Caribbean island of Montserrat. In late 2005, Ringtone released massive breakout hits including “Tek A Stand” on the then popular “Thunda Clap” Riddim. 

The songbird has without a doubt ruled the music scene on Montserrat for 2008 with hits like ‘Driver B’ (Tribute to Jimmy) and is set to continue the trend in 2009.   The majority of Ringtone’s songs consist of a positive message geared at youths but his versatility allows him to ‘break out’ when necessary.

The songster started university in September at the University of the West Indies (UWI), Cavehill campus in Barbados, where he is studying ‘Literature in English’.  The artist has already created a stir in Barbados performing at various stage shows and is scheduled to work with top dancehall producers.

“Tone” has opened shows for artists such as Pressure and Isasha and is always well received by his quickly growing fan base. His songs are in heavy rotation in Yahoo Music Chat Rooms, Internet Radio Stations, ZJB Radio and Family Radio.

In addition, the ambitious ‘Ringtone’ has already started his own clothing line with custom designed shirts featuring his tagline ‘Aaaayyyyiii’. ‘The Tonious’ is also the CEO of ‘Aaaayyyyiiii Promotions’ which specializes in stage shows.

Ringtone is currently in the process of bursting onto the regional and international platform and with the ‘hot’ catch phrase ‘Aaaayyyyiii’, deep lyrics and natural talent it is only a matter of time.
