Bounty Calls Kartel A Genius

Following on the heels of a recent interview with the Jamaica Star where the Warlord Bounty Killer and U.S. based deejay Flippa Mafia traded insults about an unfinished house and moneys owed.  The very outspoken Alliance leader has once again stepped to the fore to speak his mind about several topical issues including two of his most accomplished proteges Vybz Kartel and Mavado.

According to the Warlord in his usual strong intonations, “Kartel a di wickedest genius, lyrically, but him still can’t throw Mavado. Kartel buss (10) years now and Mavado bigger than yuh and richer than yuh and him have at least three points ahead of Kartel. Some of these niggaz are stupid and just want to run di clubs and the streets.”

The cross angry deejay had high praises for fellow group members Serani and Mavado and said Kartel aka the ‘Gaa-zer’ and his Portmore Empire will never be able to attain the accolades of Alliance before later labeling them the Ungrateful Alliance.

“Look pon MTV Jams, yu si nobody from Gaaa-zer? Nuh Mavado yuh si? Mavado deh pon Hot 97 in a New York an’ a tour the whole a di US. Yuh never did know seh a suh Mavado bad till him start clash with Kartel, don’t? When Kartel leave Alliance him a do him thing and Mavado come replace him as a general. Who in a Portmore Empire can step up and be a leader? Jah Vinci? Blak Ryno? Dem a follower.” - He added.

Selector Nursing Broken Jaw

Foota Hype

Since publishing the story about an incident in Whithorn, Westmoreland last Sunday that left popular Alliance selector ‘Foota Hype’ nursing a broken arm and others with severe bruises after affiliates of the event and an angry mob turned on them.

876radio.com recently did some follow-up investigation into the matter and found out that the second man who was beaten Ray Brown also known as ‘Fluggo’ from popular sound system Travellers Disco is now in the Kingston Public Hospital recovering from a broken jaw and severe internal bleeding added to his equipment suffering major damages from the enraged crowd.

It’s also understood that the real reason why the two were beaten is because moneys were paid (not directly to the artistes) and promises of performances from Alliance Singjay Mavado and Dancehall Queen Lady Saw were not forthcoming.  However performances from Einstein, Ninjaman and Bounty Killer were still not enough to quell the upset crowd. 

On Monday after a series of phone calls we eventually got through to Foota Hype who in a very agonising tone explained that he was still asleep and would return our calls when he’s awake, unfortunately that has not materialised to date.

Meanwhile, checks with the Whithorn Police revealed they are aware of the incident but no formal complaint has been reported by the parties involved, hence they cannot conduct an investigation until such procedures are followed.
